about

A story from Andrew Mackintosh which is part of the selkie tradition of Scotland. Unlike mermaids, selkies can change their appearance from seals in the sea to humans on land. This track is a parallel to the song "Òran na Maighdinn Mhara" as both relate to supernatural beings who inhabit the sea but interact with landfolk. Unusually, in this story, the main characters manage to find happiness!
